1. A Clean Home

CleanKitchenThere is no substitute for regular, thorough cleaning around the home. We only employ honest, reliable cleaners - people we would be happy to have in our own home.

We will build up a checklist of tasks to be done, each with its own frequency. For example, washing the floors should be done at least once a week, while the outside of windows should be cleaned once every three months as a minimum.

A clean oven is one of the things that buyers always look for, but if you don't do it regularly, it can end up being almost impossible. We will keep track of your checklist and suggest extra items to be added, such as clearing out the junk room, emptying and cleaning all food cupboards, and defrosting and cleaning the fridge.

2. Basic Maintenance

Don't leave problems to get worse. When it comes time to sell they could knock thousands off the value of your home.

Leaves in your gutters can lead to costly roof leaks and damp walls, and bathroom mould can spread like wildfire.Fuse_Box

Fuses that are constantly tripping might mean re-wiring the whole house, but it could just as easily be caused by local water damage or aged cables - better to find out now.

3. Update the Decor

Don't underestimate the effect of redecorating. If you have young children, consider using gloss paint beneath a waist-height dado rail. It makes it much easier to clean, and is visually impressive too.

Real wood flooring might be lurking beneath your carpet, and there are inexpensive ways to get a great look without the mess and cost of sanding or replacement. If you're not sure what's best, ask us for advice.

Garden4. Great Garden

A neglected garden is a scary prospect for a buyer. If gardening is not your thing, we can come round on a regular basis - just to keep it in check, or we can develop something a bit more long term.

Garden ClearanceIf you're after a quick sale and it's a jungle out there, we can clear the whole garden, leaving a clean slate for the next owner. This is a much better option than leaving it as is, and can be done quickly and cheaply.

If you're selling in winter, and already have a reasonably presentable garden, consider low-level outdoor lighting. Many buyers will be viewing in the dark evenings and lighting can make your outdoor space seem much more impressive.

5. Kitchens & Bathrooms

BathroomIf you're planning to sell, don't go overboard on these rooms - the added value is often not recouped.
